Grand

The most beautiful theatre in the world dresses
up with a host of lights for the end-of-year
festivities. The cobbles on the Grand-Place
will welcome a monumental installation that
appeals to all the senses: The Electrabel
Nights ... Venture into an enchanted forest
planted with luminous twigs that sparkle in
time with the music. Immerse yourself in a symphony
filled with magical creatures, fireflies and
multicoloured birds. An exceptional son-et-lumiere
show will light up the skies of our dark winter
days. Come and see an exceptional artistic performance
on the Grand-Place, a magical and free Christmas
show featuring Dominique Corbiau (countertenor)
Benoit Delvaux and Geoffrey Degives (choirs).
During these end-of-year festivities, a tenor,
countertenor, baritone, percussionists, harpist
and circus artists will take you on a journey
filled with some wonderful emotions! So come
and enjoy the Rendez-vous Electrabel!
Christmas Market:
Hailed as 'Europe's most original Christmas
market' by British tour operators, the Christmas
Market is made up of 240 wooden chalets, dotted
around the Bourse (Stock Exchange), Place Sainte
Catherine and the Marche aux Poissons (fish
market). Whichever chalets you visit, you can
be sure to find plenty of Christmas gifts and
various seasonal gastronomic delights.
Skating Rink:
A major attraction at Winter Wonders, the 60
metre-plus rink is always popular with skating
fans. The youngest have their very own skating
rink. Children under 12 years of age must be
accompanied by adults (free entry for accompanying
adults who do not wish to skate).
Roundabouts:
Discover Winter Wonders from on high, seated
in heated gondolas on the Big Wheel in the Marche
aux Poissons. The Andrea and Magique roundabouts
around its base will delight young and old alike.
The rides and their fantasy characters are made
by artists from the Royal de Luxe street theatre
company. A friendly ice dinosaur monster 40
metres long will 'gobble up' kids and adults
on the site of the Black Tower. |
